The Creative Enneagram
August 29th, 2023, 7:00-8:30 PM EST
Let's celebrate and explore all we've been learning together through this summer's Artists for Joy podcast Creative Archetype Series.
Have you ever wondered how your personality might affect your impulse to create? The Enneagram is a personality integration tool, a map that can uncover your common strengths and hurdles. This workshop will show you how the unconscious motivation behind your actions, thoughts, and feelings can shed light on your unique gifts and challenges and, most importantly, explore how you can work to integrate both to serve your creative life.
This workshop will help you:
explore your enneagram type through a creative lens
explore practical tips for managing your thoughts and mindsets to foster more creative energy
gain actionable skills/tools to try in the face of creative block
celebrate the gifts that all personality types bring to the creative process (It is not just a thing for 4's, after all!)
FAQ:
Do I need to be a professional artist to attend this workshop?
No! We believe that all people benefit from exploring creativity, and we consider all who do so artists. Anyone curious about creativity in a broader sense through the lens of the enneagram is in the right place.
What do I need to know about the enneagram before this workshop?
We are asking participants to have a basic understanding of the structure of the enneagram and how it works, as well as a pretty good idea of their type. However, it is always good to continue exploring, and even if you aren’t totally sure of your type, this workshop will have something to offer you. Click here for some resources for learning about the structure and discovering your type.
What do I need to bring?
Yourself, a good internet connection, an open mind, and a sense of humor (!)…plus a paper and pen. Also, an example of one (or more) creative blocks/challenges that you are looking to explore more deeply would be helpful too.
Will there be a recording if I can’t attend live?
You bet. The teaching portion of the workshop will be recorded, but the private break-out room sessions will not. The recording will be emailed to all participants post-workshop.
